Drop the lawsuit, you are embarrassing yourselves! Instead concentrate your efforts on making much needed changes by aligning compensation packages with services provided. To enlighten Sculley (and all of our city leadership), we should require each to shadow a police officer or firefighter at least once a month. This practice will help you to understand what we owe to those who protect our city every day, many times at a great personal risk. Obviously some enlightenment is needed so our leaders can fight for the right cause.
To all of our City Council – I challenge you to put your heads together, and determine what you can do NOW, to provide the compensation support our officers and firefighters deserve. Currently you are on the wrong team.
